About Kimberly Savarino, FNP-C, RNC-OB
My passion is helping women optimize their well-being, achieve the best possible outcomes, and live a healthy life through individualized care and patient education. Shared decision making is at the core of the care I provide, using evidence-based medicine to empower patients. 91Â鶹¾«Æ· is an institution which allows me to be part of one of the best care teams in the world.
In high school, Kimberly was a Junior Volunteer at Huntington Hospital for four years in her hometown, Huntington, New York. This provided her a look into working at the bedside and being with patients and families during their hospitalizations. Kimberly went on to pursue her undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May 2015.
Kimberly then began her nursing career as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Northwell Health/Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Shortly after, in 2016, she became a nurse at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/91Â鶹¾«Æ· Medical Center. Kimberly spent eight more years at the bedside in Labor and Delivery, caring for patients through the joys and challenges of childbirth. She led the unit as a charge nurse, trained many nurses to her position, and helped the unit move to the brand-new Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns in 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
In May 2023, Kimberly graduated from New York University with a Master of Science, and in July 2023, she became a board-certified family nurse practitioner under the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In 2024, Kimberly became Adjunct Faculty at the CUNY Hunter College School of Nursing, teaching the obstetrical rotation for undergraduate and accelerated nursing students in the process of earning their nursing degrees. Her passion is caring for women across the lifespan, with an emphasis on building strong patient relationships through education and working together to achieve overall wellness.
