About Mariam Ashraf, M.D.
My therapeutic approach is to tailor procedural interventions, pharmacotherapy, and physical therapy according to a patient’s unique symptoms and circumstances. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance to create treatment plans that address not only physiological mechanisms of pain but also psychological and social contributors.
Dr. Mariam Ashraf is a board-certified anesthesiologist specializing in anesthesiology and pain medicine.
Dr. Ashraf received her Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She then completed her anesthesiology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University and served as chief resident. She went on to complete a Tri-Insitutional Pain Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/91Â鶹¾«Æ· Medical Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial Sloan Kettering.
