Biographical Info

Ronald Winokur M.D., FSIR, FAVLS, RPVI, is a board-certified radiologist specializing in Interventional Radiology. He is the Director of the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Vein Treatment Center, Professor of Clinical Radiology at 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· and an Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Campus.      

Dr. Winokur earned his B.S. with Cum Laude Honors in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in 2002. He then earned his M.D. at Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College in 2006.

Following an internship in internal medicine at The Lankenau Hospital, Dr. Winokur trained as a resident in Diagnostic Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he became Chief Resident from 2010-2011. He then completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology from 2012-2013 at New York Presbyterian Hospital/91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Medical Center in New York, NY.

Dr. Winokur subsequently worked at 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· – NewYork Presbyterian Hospital from 2013-2019 before becoming Associate Professor of Radiology and Director of Venous Interventions at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital from 2019-2021. He has rejoined the faculty at 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· in September 2022 as the Director of the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Vein Treatment Center.  

Dr. Winokur's clinical expertise is the minimally invasive treatment of venous conditions including varicose veins, spider veins, pelvic venous disorders (aka pelvic congestion syndrome), vulvar varices, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). Dr. Winokur uses minimally invasive
